Currently own a vw golf gt tdi, the abs warning light isnt going out at all?????? could it be dirty sensor at each wheel?

It could be a sensor issue, an ABS control unit issue, a blown fuse, etc., etc.

I would suggest you go t a local autoparts store and find out what code is stored and causing the light to stay active, and then get the car repaired accordignly.

And don't wait, your brakes are nothing to play with.

As Lemar J said,only reading the erorr code from your car electronic unit in a specialized service (on tester)can tell you the exact trouble.Till then you have just a classic brake.

low brake fluid will turn on the red 'brake' mil on. not the abs. the abs module has noted a failure either with itself, or a sensor. need to get it diagnosed. as long as the red brake mil is not on, normal brake action will not be affected; just no abs.

could be low brake fluid. check its between the min an max on the reservoir under the bonnet. if topping up make sure not to overfill and that its the right fluid.

A warning light is what it is.....A WARNING LIGHT....If it could go to the next step, it would be a DANGER LIGHT.
I would have a shop look at it.
