YES, there are those of us who DO understand what it is like in the Countries of our origin ... because we ARE the ones with the knowledge (and recent LEGAL immigrants to the US -- either ourselves or parents/grandparents) ...

NO ONE is saying that immigration to the US be halted .. but there is the FACT that illegals have committed a Crime (hence, the use of the word "illegal") when the CHOSE to enter without the LEGAL paperwork and processing. That is what is a PROBLEM ... why in the WORLD could they NOT take the time and APPLY for LEGAL entry to the US like so many millions of others ... Learn the Language (English), not make DEMANDS that we ADAPT to their Culture (and DISRESPECT ALL of the Other Cultures who have gone through the LEGAL Immigration Process -- and that includes my own POLISH-American Grandparents). I don't see the effort made to learn the Languages of this tremendous mixing pot ... or even HONOR the Cultural Blending that makes America Great .. which is CONTRASTED by the services that are provided to one select situation.

MY GRANDPARENTS came to the US as Indentured Servants. YES, I DO know what they did to Purchase their way out of that condition, and how hard they worked to learn the language (Without ESOL or Translation Services, or Signs in their Language) to be able to purchase at the stores, buy a home, rent things, obtain furniture, do banking, and everything else in American Life ... and for those of us who are their Descendents, the one thing that they ALWAYS emphasized is to RESPECT the Country that gave us so MUCH FREEDOM ... and Serve the country as best we can (and take advantage of the EDUCATION). That is why my own Parents (Father was a WWII Paraplegic Veteran, and Mother was a Speech Therapist) were able to obtain their GRADUATE Degrees (and my grandparents did not even finish elementary school) ... and WE, their Children, had the DRIVE to OBTAIN OUR own Graduate Degrees as well as LONG, LONG Careers in the Military Services.

Bravo! and a thumbs up! If you are a dull American so am I. I'm disabled and are living in Section eight housing. I run a small accounting biz out of my house, pay taxes and my hire is situated on "supposed sales" that's WAY greater than I make, however part the difficult is full of illegals who do not pay ANY hire on the grounds that they have got such a lot of SS#'s in use. Three doorways down, there's a LARGE unlawful loved ones (eight running adults, and three little children) in a two bed room, they pay NO hire. The adults all force '06 and more recent vehicles. One man purchased a well pimped Escalade a pair days in the past. One of the requisites of residing right here isn't having over $5000 in resources. I LEGALLY lived in a couple of different international locations while I was once more youthful, adventurous, and childless. But I adopted the correct channels, so I would legally are living and paintings external the US. Its no longer a problematic procedure. I'm no longer heartless closer to immigrants, however there are systems in situation for a rationale. People coming right here below Political Asylum are something, however paying a coyote to deliver you throughout at the back of a u-haul to discover a larger existence is flat out flawed. I wish a larger existence too, however I'm no longer going to wreck the legislation to do it. Illegal immigrants, are known as that for one rationale, They're breaking the legislation! I'm fascinated about stricter immigration legislation (and probably stocking the Rio Grande with piranhas)

I don't see how they are having a better life when they have kids they cannot afford to clothe, feed, provide health care this surcharge cost's millions all from poor decisions in life and taking advantage of any entitlement that is going to cause harm to the future of this country. Far to many steal ids of living and the dead in their quest for a better life this has also cause damage to others when their id is used by illegals a host of new legal problems arise. The people of Mexico continue to be responsible for their problems not us. They have the money to take care of their people if not than they should apply for world aide. The excuse Mexico is corrupted, people seem to be saying oh well that's the way life is. As it is Mexico see's no reason to change the country for the better of people. As long as people leave and send money back the country will never change and the people will continue to come over by the millions and continue to ship money back. Why hasn't the country shown any improvement with the 50 or 60 billion being sent back.

Why can't you understand that illegals are law-breakers ? Using your arguement, no criminal should ever be bothered bu the police. A bank robber is only trying to make a better life for himself. Are you too stupid to understand that ?
Another question you can ask yourself, Pedro is why is Mexico so poor compaired to America ? Back in the early seventeen hundreds Mexico was far ahead of the American colonies. What happened ? Why did America get rich while Mexico became poorer and poorer ?
Why don't the poor people make something of their country instead of running away ? Why do so many refuse to learn English if they want to live in America ? Why do so many wave Mexican flags showing that they don't want to be part of this country ?
If Mexicans two hundred years ago would have learned from America, Mexico would be rich today. If Americans learned form Mexico, we'd be eating grass.
It's the people, stupid.

First off.. I have lived both in Mexico and the USA and I know very well what the conditions are like over there. Your logic is that illegals are trying to have better lives, so we should let them, correct? The problem lies here: at whose expense? And to what degree?

Should illegals be allowed to use our hospitals, forcing many to shut down because illegals obviously dont pay the medical bills? Should we be content with their driving down of wages so that legal citizens can no longer find suitable employment in their field and have to accept lower working wages, thereby making our economy suffer? Which comes first: citizens or non citizens? This is what it boils down to from a logical and legal standpoint.

Also, who should be able to come here? Anyone that wants to? What about overpopulation? Diseases? And the forementioned issues of the last paragraph?

It seems that you empathize with illegals, but do not know much about the actual effects that massive illegal immigration causes. Research it a little and then come back.

Oh GAWD I saw the question and was ready to start on MY rant... then caught your appended info.

Yeppers... Pro-Illegals have some convoluted logic. And remember to divide the Pro-Illegal side into it's 3 separate factions.

1) Bleeding Heart Liberals who think the POEM on the side of the Statue of Liberty is part of US Code !! Who think "politically correct" is a GOOD thing.

2) La Raze (or however it's spelled) who think that California, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas belong to Mexico... and intend to annex those states back to Mexico.

3) Corporations who just love low-cost labor and nothing else.

Mexico sucks because of their governments corruption and greed. China sucks because of their government PERIOD.

I've lived in Mexico and the Phillipines... and visited Korea, Panama, Japan, Russia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bahrain, Dubai, Somalia, Austrailia. Yes, life there isn't the USA... but the USA is the result of work not magic

I am not sure what you are asking.. the borders should have been secured A LONG TIME AGO. What are we going to do about it NOW? Fix what is already broken in a humane way and then stop all illegal immigration. For all of those taken in the Swift raids, the same amount or more came over, sorta like that finger in the dike.. don't ya think?

I have no problem with people from others countries trying to better themselves, but you have to do it legally. Many wait out the process, and the ones that get caught, fingerprinted, photographed, will have a slim to none chance of ever getting here legally. Theri countries might suck, but do it right and we will greet you, do it wrong and you get the treatment you deserve. It's your choice, work for it, or just be illegal, and keep looking over your shoulder until the day you get caught.

I have come to the conclusion that the leaders of this country do not want borders. Politicians will not be affected because they envy politicians and the Elite of Latin American Countries where you can rob the treasuries and never be prosecuted. As long as our politicians have theres they can talk around immigration with there silver tongues

I have no problem with legal immagration, heck on my dad's side we are only a couple of generations American, but if they want to come here illegally taxpayers shouldn't have to foot the bills. Nor should we continue to allow anchor babies, children of illegals should be allowed instant citzenship just because mom managed to cross the border before giving birth.
