When a guy says he would love you if he was single what does it mean?
i was dating a guy for a while we both were very physically attracted to one another and things broke up as i was upset about my job etc a little needy at the time...he always stares at me when we are out and the other day i apoligised to him and he said i was one of the most lovely people he had met and that initially he was intimidated by my job ( i have quite a high powered job and earn good money) he also said he thought i was gorgeous back then and still does, i said i was leaving and he kept on grabbing me and said he would love me...if he was single..When i chatted about one of my ex boyfriends he got jealous and said 'what about us?'. He has only just started to date someone else..i have always been infatuated with him and vice versa..what should i do should i ask him for a drink as friends, i think he could of beena potential one

it doesn't mean anything if he's not single. Talk is cheap and he's full of it.

So why didn't you ask him what not being single meant. normally than means he is married but it doesn't sound like it.
Not much doubt he wants you in the worse way. If he is steady with someone else he feels like there has to be a commitment from you before he can let her go. He hasn't gotten that feeling yet.
Ask him where he is and tell him where you are. Communication solves almost everything.

what you should do is tell him to call you if and when he is single again...then go live your life and let him live his...if he can't stand the thoughts of you being with someone else or not a part of his life, he will come back to you ...single...if he does not, then move on and find someone else...good luck
