Just as I thought...more responses from the atheists that the question was not directed to. Their basic canned response is that no matter how educated a Christian may or may not be they do not subscribe to their "logic" so they must be less intelligent than them. Our faith is what sets us above, what allows us to have not only learned intelligence but holy spirit knowledge and insight that a lost person just cant see the "logic" in.

I do not have an advanced degree but, have taken many college courses and gotten As and Bs in all of them. I have no interest in getting a degree, I take courses based on what I find interesting (ie, accounting, psychology, the Old and New Testaments).
I do not currently work outside the home but, I approach a career the same way I approach college classes: I work in fields that I find interesting. I have been a Human Resources Manager, an Accounting Assistant, Office Manager, Executive Assistant, and "Head Hunter." I was earning $50K a year when I was 20 years old.
Not to shabby for an uneducated Christian who is brainwashed and incapable of reasonable thought.

There are obviously many Christians with degrees, including higher degrees. Many famous people in recent and not-so-recent history have been Christian. Why should they not? Christianity at its core is a complex and thoughtful set of beliefs. It should be attractive to intelligent and thoughtful people seeking a moral path through life. Many of these will have advanced education.
The problem is that Christianity is also attractive to people with a lower or very poor level of education, perhaps because it seems to offer simple answers and, from the sorts of things you read from people here, it enables some of those people to use it as a way of reinforcing their pre-existing prejudices among a powerful peer group with considerable respectability they might not have had without it. The numbers of less-educated Christians, especially among the more vocal ones on this forum, result in the impression that Christians, generally speaking, are statistically less well educated than atheists. And statistics, I'm afraid, bear this out.

I'm a Christian - I am also a vibration analyst, a profession that requires regular use of critical thinking skills and advanced mathematics. I have attended College in Process Engineering, won an internship sponsored by the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology, and studied nuclear physics in the US Navy. I am currently pursuing a computer programming degree. I am trained in Root Cause Failure Analysis, precision maintenance, and maintenance reliability. I spent some time working in a carbon lab preparing proprietary carbon samples for use in rechargeable batteries, as well as performing particle-size analysis and thermal conductivity tests on coke samples. I also have a background in chemistry, and took Chem I, II, and Organic chemistry in college.

It's all well and good to list all the letters after your name and all the schools you went to, but from the sorts of answers we get and the absolute lack of logic in so many of them, all the education doesn't seem to follow through.
I know it's a stereotype. I realize that all Xians are not uneducated mouth breathers, but unfortunately it's those people who are the most vocal in advocating your religion, and in arguing with us non-believers.
Take a step back and read the sorts of answers and comments many of the self proclaimed Xians are making here. Judge for yourself, and try not to be swayed by the fact that they're on your side of the argument. They often don't speak of a highly educated mind.
I think the educated and intelligent Xians need to speak up more. Because the people who are the most zealous in representing you now are not doing you justice.

There are some, but the quality of the questions asked here makes it look like very few. If I have to tell one more person that we didn't evolve from monkeys I think I will scream. What do you want to bet I can add on to this in less than an hour with one. Look at my answers last night, it took five min. to have two.
There is such a basic lack of even the basics of science, I can't see how most of them passed eighth grade science class. There are exceptions, but look at the quality on this site and you will be able to see why we get that impression.

One can acquire all the education in the world yet lack the wisdom to apply it effectively. Given that you are a Christian...
How do you, can you, explain the findings regarding our reality as it has been amply demonstrated through Quantum Physics? How do you explain, through your Christian beliefs, that reality begins internally? Through our thought processes? Our emotional addictions? That reality is firstly a reaction to exterior stimuli which is processed internally then spat out - creating our reality - on what we choose to focus on, based on our internal thoughts and what we are emotionally addicted to? That this process is "internal" and not the result of an exterior deity? That we create our reality and only do it effectively once we step back and observe our thinking and our emotional reactions?
Answer this, and I will believe that you have transcended your education and learned how to apply it wisely and effectively.

There are smart and dumb, and educated and less so among atheists and believers.
You gotta be dumb or ignorant not to see that.
I have noticed that a lot of people on this site reject evolution without understanding what it is that they're rejecting, and show a shocking ignorance of science.
But I see a lot of shocking ignorance on a lot of subjects on this site by people of alot of different stances, views, perspectives, and philosophies.
People vary.
I have never made any such absurd statement as "All Christians are dumb" or "Christians are uneducated."
Heck, one of the people I most admire is a Baptist (Bill Moyers -- he sure as sh*t ain't dumb or ill-informed).

Christians may have gone to university, many atheist have gone to university and stil deny the existance of God.
The only problem with Christians with regard to being 'uneducated' is many of them dont seem to apply logic, or look to fact to back up their religious convictions they usually follow blind faith and dont allow logic to come into their religious beliefs which makes them seem well a littl bit dumb. no offence
