America is far more concerned about lawsuits and politically correct than the majority of the world. This has to do with our guilt laden history... as though we are the only country in the world that has violence between the races, cultures, religions et al? I think because we make issue out of it, it becomes bigger than it is in little cases...and played down in the bigger cases. Some things are handled well...but, what we tend to hear about...are the ones that are not handled well at all. It can be very confusing. As far as specific people...who cares what they think? Are we not all entitled to our opinions? And, do any of us really want to hear other people's opinions? Personally I would rather say things that build people up, rather than tear them down.

you have a good point, however there are obviously racists of all types. The best way to fight racism is to keep it out of your own thoughts and actions. There's not much you can do to change the way a person thinks, and you only really cause yourself more stress by trying. Idiots will be idiots, no matter what color they are.

Generally the qualities that bother you most about other people, are qualities that you possess. With that being said people who complain the most about racism, usually are racist. There have always been, and always will be racists, but like a spoiled child having a tantrum. If you ignore them they settle own.

The race card is often used when a person has run out of logical arguments. I think that some people on both sides of the issue are racist. But, not ALL people on both sides are.

Bottom line: the debate centers on laws and the breaking of them. Not skin color.

wow lots of subjects, first i dont think you can lump people all together,,, and pro-illegals? do you mean people who do not think illegal immigration by Mexicans is our countries major crisis,,,,, if so, i dont imagine many of them hate whites,,,, in fact , some who are so against illegal immigrants often only mention the Latino/Mexican ones, what about the Arabic ones? both legal and illegal, who are terrorist?

yes, one should be sure someone is racist before accusing them of it,,,,, i think the immigration situation , especially illegals,, has much more to do with other things, rather then race,,,,, but yet your words are using racism,, by calling people white haters , by saying they are only concerned with Latinos etc,,,, why do that?
i am not racist, i am white,,, i think the immigration issue has been blown up to take Americans eye away from bigger issues such as lack of health care and the war,,,,,,, i dont hate white people,,,,, nor do i mind alot of Mexicans coming into this country,,,,,, i see history as something to recognize and learn from,,,,, it wasnt long ago we took this land from the natives and the Mexicans,,,,,, yet now we are so up in arms they are on "our" land?,,,,,, that just doesnt make alot of sense,,,,,
also, one thing not even mentioned, after Vietnam, we let many, many Vietnamese in,,,, are we now going to do the same with Iraq?

response to foot: which is taking /using more of Americas resources and taking more lifes right now today? illegals or Iraq?
which is causing working American families to suffer right now today? lack of health care or illegals?
you hear they take Americans jobs, yet i have never meet an American who lost a job to a illegal,,,,,,
Americans do lose jobs by companies sending their work to Mexico to be done,,,
i just havent seen an arguement from anyone, that shows me how any illegal is impacting their life ? in the literal sense? , not in vague things the government or others tell you

unlawful is against the regulation. Al Sharpton will say something to get press coverage. opposite discrimination will purely proceed if we take a seat around and don't something. Whites(that i understand) had cooled their racial jets for a jointly as until they started getting pushed right into a nook by using the demands, no longer the rights, the demands of others. while you're an African-American or a Mexican-American you're no longer an American. you're an American once you shed the prefix and the attitude that I owe you something. artwork WITH me and that i'll artwork WITH you, carry out your hand and that i'll spit in it. Sorry for the rant yet..yet..properly you recognize
