Stand facing a wall (about a foot away from it) and put your hands against it at shoulder height. Now stretch your cramping leg behind you, sorta in a lunge. Stretch it slowly and not much at first, working into it. The worst thing you can do is rub it, that just seems to make it cramp more.

If your leg is pulled, it may be spasming. Try increasing your potassium intake, take a multivitamin, and if that doesn't help you should talk to a doctor about a muscle relaxer to stop the spasms.

Slow, easy stretching and increase your potassium intake to ease the cramping. Eat bananas or strawberries. Both good sources of K+
