You need to be with other fellow Christians, in order to learn about the Lord, and they are usually in Churches. I am in a Catholic Church, and there are other Christian denominations, they can also be found in their churches. I think that to Worship and Praise God, and receive the Eucharist one should attend the Mass with other Christians, and yes this will make you a better person and a better Christian Peace be with you, Merry Christmas

I think it's the other way round. If you stay away from the church you have a lot better chances to be a good Christian. I'm saying this to you after years of my personal observation.

No, Jesus said do for your brother annonomysly and your father in heaven will remeber it and reward you for it.
:You just practice the faith and values you were taught. Most church's are built on trying to get a profit, that is why you don't see them full of the lost, hungry, naked and blind.
You can find Jesus in your own home, in the woods, in a car, anywhere. Church actually blocked me from getting to the truth of what to do and why we do it. If you love Jesus, you love everyone. You treat others as you would want to be treated, not try to make a name for yourself.
Read carefully what Jesus was trying to say in the Bible, I would suggest first reading just his words, then going back and reading the rest. I did this and something in me changed. But I go to church on occasion, what I do to help others, I do and will continue to do so. Prayer is the main communication, and it doesnt have to be formal, he wants to be your freind.

It's in church where Christians learn the best techniques for being rude, intolerant and hateful to everyone else. And that seems to be the prerequisite for all the "good Christians" at this site.

Are you talking about church people? Church people need to attend church? Yeah well okay.
As for Christians, I don't know any.
Church people, their religion is not even close to the religion Jesus had. But sure, let them go to church, who cares.

of course not, but one does need to love others as himself and respect other people regardless of whether they are Christian or not. True Christians don't go around pointing fingers at others mistakes. True Christians are like Jesus, kind, gentle, humble, respectful. That's what it takes to be a good Christian. Nothing more than following the example Jesus set for us.

The definition of Christian is "Christ like". At the time of Christ there were no churches, per se. Therefore, attending church isn't strictly necessary.

What if there isn't a Christian church in your area? What if you are lost in the woods? What if you are a hermit? Will you be denied the kingdom of heaven due to location?

This stuff is madness. Your actions define you. Be a Christian if that's what sings to your soul. Everything else is window dressing.

Going to church makes you a good Christian. And going to a garage makes you a car.
And swimming in a lake makes you a fish.
