Its on the 29th of December, I'm guessing its a Christmas concert. Any ideas how we should dress?

I would dress middle of the road with a Christmas theme. That way if you are under dressed, at least people can see you are Christmas themed.

I personally dont think that TSO is an upscale event but its always better to over dress than underdress.

BTW...I envy you...they just passed by here in CO and we missed them.

have fun!

less then half a decade ago, people wouldn't have considered showing up at an event like this without being dressed to the nines. These days, people are a little more casual. It's not unheard of for people ot show up in running shoes, jeans, and a sweater. You'll probably feel most comfortable somewhere in bewteen the ball gown and the jeans. I would wear a simple cocktail dress, or dress pants/skirt and a dressy top. Your boyfriend could wear dress pants and a dress shirt, and a tie if he so wishes. You will both look classy, and I guarentee you will look neither over or under dressed.

Have fun!

Awesome! I'm going on the 28th in Atlantic City - this will be my fourth or fifth year in a row going to see TSO at Christmas. They're amazing. It's true that some people show up in jeans and sweatshirts, but the vast majority are dressed either Christmas-y or in a business casual way (khakis or black pants and decent shirt).

First of all-congrads-because ours sold out, so I couldn't go.
Second, yes, Its a Christmas Concert with a Rock theme. I would go with the slacks and nice shirt. Maybe a skirt if you wanted. It shouldn't be heavy on the nice dress but it won't be a regular rock concert either. If you are going to dinner before hand dress for where you are going to eat.

You know it is a concert....I went about 3 years ago and I loved it. It was fantastic!! It really depends on your personal style. Some of the members are in a heavy metal band...Megadeth. I wore a really nice black shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans with a pair of black boots....nothing fancy but very nice. I didn't feel underdressed or overdressed. It does have a Christmas theme to it, but keep in mind it is a concert. Kind of narrated story in between and during songs....beautiful show.
Have fun!!!
By the way, mu hubby wore a nice pair of jeans and a button down shirt.

I went last year with my loser exboyfriend. Just dress casual/Christmas and you'll be fine. Some people dress to the teeth, but something casual yet nice is perfect. Be sure to check the marriage licenses in your area. My TSO-loving boyfriend got married and "forgot" to tell me. Loser. Have fun!
