look at the "Valve stem" if it is large and looks like the ones on car tires, then your in luck. you can get cheap ones at walmart for $5 or you can spend up to $100 on a carbon composite floor pump - your choice. also know as a Shreader (SHRAY-der) valve
if your bike has a very small valve, then you require a special pump or an adapter. this would be a Presta valve and usually, only a bike shop will carry these style pumps. they will cost a little more though. bike shops dont sell walmart quality crap, so expect a minimum of $20 for a presta pump.
but if you are asking this question, then you probably have a shreader. go to walmart or target and get the most expensive pump they have, which will be no more than $20

Where the air goes in is called the 'valve' - there are different types depending on the tyre. Ask for a pump 'connection' to suit the type of valve you have.................

A valve stem, there are 2 different kinds, presta and schrader. The schrader looks like a car's valve stem, presta is a bit different.

depends if it has same size as a car or the little ones with a screw bit on top, the one with the screw bit is a presta valve and the bigger one with no locknut is a schrader valve
