No one can tell you what side effects you'll have with any medicine. They're different for each person... and each medicine. There's really nothing you can do other than trial and error. And start with the ones least associated with side effects (which your doctor would know about). Secondly your question sounds like you're trying to decide whether or not to take the antidepressant and anti-anxiety medicines...well I'd suggest you do. It's all about quality of life and you can definitely achieve better living through chemistry...it might just take some time. The thing to always think about is whether you're better off on the medicines than off them...ie are the side effects worth the relief from your symptoms? or does it make you even worse off. I hope you find the help you need!

Depends on what type of antidepressants you are taking.
The 1st line & safest are the SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) such as paroxitine, Sertraline [Zoloft], fluoxitine : with a minimal side effect profile, mainly being sexual dysfunction, decreased libido
2nd line are usually TCAs (amitriptyline, desipramine, imipramine [Tofranil], nortriptyline): side effects include orthostatic hypotension (α block), ↑ QRS duration, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, urinary retention (anti-cholinergic), confusion, sedation (antihistamine)
Benzodiazepines are highly addictive and may cause respiratory depression as well as Central nervous system depression.

each med has different side effects - too many to name, but most people are not bothered enough to stop them - and if they are, the dr will switch - its a trial and error thing - each person is different.
good luck!
