Where in the bible does it say to take any medical means possible to extend your life as long as it can possibly be, even to the extent of keeping you "alive" even though you are a vegetable.
That's a long time to hold off eternal bliss.

.........and do you think the primitive men who wrote the bible and Jesus must have thought living forever would be just the greatest thing since the average age of life back then was about 40.

Don't they know how living forever and ever such like a Vampire can really get boring and suck.
Do you think they had any concept of nature? All which lives is born to die, no exceptions?

Nicely played. People have that "Just in Case" mentality when it comes to spirituality. That "will to live" is instinctual. Evolution has imprinted us with the "will to live." This helps ensure the survival of the species. I hate to mix facts with religion, but dog gone it...someone has to, eh?

there are people who have cxalled themselves Christians who do shameful things not the lsmallest of which was wanting that poor woman to be kept alive and for apparently selfish reasons. Being a friend of Jesus does not mean they are perfect. Jesus apparently accepts the dim witted as well as the intelligent. Unfortunately these dim witted ones seem to all get together and do silly stuff. That does not mean we are all stupid any more than being Black means a person is lazy or being a Jew means one is a cheapskate (actually I'm not sure about the Jew thing but I hope not). Christians have brought shame on themselves because we do not practice the rules regarding accuontabilty and how to pick and keep leaders accountable.

As for myself and my close friends we would that we died tomorrow, if there were just an honorable way.

As for me. I have twice tried for an honorable exit but twice seemingly through a miracle was unable to depart, but that is another long story.

True believers also believe suicide is a 1st class ticket to hell. Our life here on earth is a test. But it is also a period of learning and proving ourselves. This is a lifelong procedure not done until your last breath escapes your lungs. If you believe suicide is only a deliberate act to end your life, fine, but on the other side of the coin, not acting to protect and preserve Gods greatest gift to us is at least a passive, careless, wreckless suicide.
Yes at some point, when there is no medical help left, a decision has to be made. But that must be an absolute last resort. Remember the medical profession is one that progresses daily. Things that would have killed my grandfather are cured with a couple of pills, or a shot today. If I didn't make use of the medical profession, my time would have been up the last time I had the flu. Preserving life, is preserving Gods greatest gift.

When your number up it's up and theres not much to do about it. I am not afraid to die maybe how!!! i know the Lord will help me through. Heaven is eternal and this is such a short life why would anyone take the chance. While I'm here i will be faith full and worship. I have told family i do not wish to be on life support if theres no chance.

First, we don't have to die to have God with us every single day. Although I personally won't have 'any medical means' to extend my life, I'm not seeking death. I still have things unaccomplished yet on this Earth. When death comes, however, I will be ready to go.

Second, living eternally on this planet in human form would be my idea of hell - but living eternally with God is heaven! God is infinite, I will never be bored in heaven.
