You're going to have to make some arrangement to get to a dentist.

The tooth can be capped or covered with some type of a composite, but it must be done by a professional.

In the meantime, cover the exposed area with some wax, or gum to keep out food/fluids/bacteria.

Whatever you do, don't try to work on the tooth yourself. You could cause yourself much more trouble. Focus on making some arrangement to get to a dentist as soon as you can.

You need to find a dentist or an emergency room, but in the meantime if you have the other half of the tooth, KEEP IT and rinse it off and soak it in a glass of milk (I think for a half an hour) this keeps the calcium and other nutrients on the tooth in place and take it with you to the dentist/emergency room. For your mouth get some dental wax ($.99 at CVS, Wallgreens, Rite-Aid or your grocery store) and put some on the chipped tooth.

You had better get to a dentist fast before you head to the hospital for a cut at the tongue. The dentist should give you a good filling but mean what you can do use a chewing gum.

I would try to file down the sharp part with a fingernail file.

Do you have any medical people in your area. If there is an emergency facility near you, they might be able to help you.
