I just asked a question about my fiance in marine boot camp who had gotten an MRI while there that showed old back fractures. I guess another question I have is how long will it take until they make a decision on whether or not to discharge him? And why haven't they done so already? I mean wouldn't they decide right away after discovering the results of the MRI? Is there anything I can do to get him home safely? Thanks so much for all the answers to my previous question and for the help with this one. I'm just so worried I can't think about anything else!

First there's examinations, then there's review boards, then there's lawyer's to determine if he's wrongfully entered into a contract. How long has he been in Boot Camp? If they find that he is healthy enough to serve his contract, he will resume training where he left off.

It all depends on how bad the fractures are, and how the doctors feel. If the doc's feel he can heal and still serve then he will stay in. If not they will boot him out. How long it takes for a decsion depends on the docs. If he is still in boot camp its usually a fairly quick process ofa few months or less. I went through a medical discharge after 4years of active duty and it took 6months from the start of the med board until i was discharged.

i'd say in the experience that they are pushing it that badly for the medical discharge he received't win the strive against to stay in....having reported that the military can replace that's options. A medical discharge although can take numerous weeks to months relying on the severity of the incapacity. relying on the incapacity percentage they are quoting him, he might want to seem into beginning his VA workplace artwork so as that the medical stuff is being performed concurrently. If not it ought to take months to get the VA workplace artwork shifting. I choose him success in even if he comes to a decision to do...all of us that performs with the help of the soreness is a hero in my e book...no matter if he sees strive against duty or not.

He's in bootcamp. his chances of dying there are very slim. The length of a medical discharge depends on a lot of things. If they hate him, they'll roll out the red carpet.

If he didn't enter the military by lying about his condition it shouldn't take too long. But he lied there may be some repercussions about his lying which could take longer.
