I am in the commercial poultry business.
We raise and sell duck products.
A Drake (rooster) duck life cycle in an egg laying operation for breeders is about on average 60-70 weeks of age. That is determined by the amount of eggs a flock is laying at an older age and how fertile the eggs are, and the hatch percentage of Grade A baby birds on hatch day.
As far as just a regular life span of a chicken (rooster), Its average is something like 7-8 years, but can live to be in their teens in age. Check out the couple websites below for tons of information. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Enjoy.
