I grew up in a hunted house. Yes, they do exist! We had a lady in white and even when we told no one for fear of being called crazy friends would spend the night and never return again! One Friend of my brother's left at about 2:00 AM Walking!. A friend of mine came back but wouldn't even step past the sidewalk into the yard. She had come home from school with me to pick up a coat I wanted to give her. She said she was afraid of that house. This was in broad daylight. My other brother had friend who would refuse to come in.We never told anyone of these friends about "Our Ghost" That was back in the 1960's the house was burnt down by kids playing with matches in the late 1990's.

From the christian perspective this is a very difficult theme. Lots of persons have perceived in some way or other what they have inerpreted as a ghost or a visit from a loved one.

Since this is a very emotional experience it is very difficult to convince these persons of other ideas.

The Bible however does not teach that ghosts exist. If you do a search across the Bible you will see that the embedded message is that when you die you cease to exist.

Ecclesiastes 9
3 This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun: The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of men, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterward they join the dead. 4 Anyone who is among the living has hope [b] —even a live dog is better off than a dead lion!

5 For the living know that they will die,
but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward,
and even the memory of them is forgotten.

6 Their love, their hate
and their jealousy have long since vanished;
never again will they have a part
in anything that happens under the sun.

"Afterlife" will be possible when Jesus returns and resurrects all who died waiting for him.

No, just think about it logically. Think about all the people that have ever died in the world. Even if only about 1% turned into ghosts, they would be absolutely everywhere. We would see them everyday. If you think a house is haunted, your mind plays tricks on you and exagerates things, so something as simple as a draft through a window could make you believe that a ghost has just crossed your path.

No.

There's no evidence.

No attempt to document the existence of ghosts has succeeded. Every claim of ghosts has a more plausible explanation.

You may want to check out some skeptic web sites to see what they have to say on the topic.

Searching on Randi (a paranormal debunker) will get you started.

I pretty well have to believe, and I have twice been visited by a loved one who has died. It wasn't a dream, it was very, very real. So yes, I do believe, and it convinces me that there is an afterlife.
