Why would he be hard to communicate with and why be careful of that?

Yeah. He is my team lead and he seem to feel that from the questions I ask him, then I am looking for standard answers and told me that there are no standard answers. But I saw a word he wrote on his board "boilerplate". He also told his co-worker not to put words into my mouth and let me talk. He also told me that he is frustrated with me taking too long to process a file which is not acceptable... I just wonder if he likes me or is interested in me? What do you think of it?

no, i think the extra concern is coming from all the supervision he has to do on your behalf. if this man is your superior you should be focusing on your work and not on your personal relationship with him. if something did evolve between the both of you and didn't work out, you risk losing your job. focus on your work so you can work independently and be an efficient employee before deciding what future you want to have with your team leader.

It probably means he is interested in you. But be careful, he may be hard to communicate with.
