Sometimes it is not nearly so disrespectful as the minister's words to the congregation.

It's not a horrible thing, but I wouldn't suggest doing it. I read over my bulletin before the service starts, or during the time for announcements, or something I'll glance at it during a scripture reading.

Reading the bulletin during the sermon could be disrespectful, and it'll draw your attention away from the sermon, too. Try reading it at other times or even afterwards if there's a lot that you want to look at.

I wouldn't think so.. they gave it to you before the service after all. Now, if you pulled out the local newspaper and had yourself a good read, that'd probably be disrespectful, but to casually glance over a bulletin, I don't think so. Beside, they don't have -that- much to read in them.
