Maybe I am simple but every time I have sex it is good. Granted sometimes it may be a little better but I find this has more to do with atmosphere than the woman. I have been with women who call me later and say the sex was phenomenal. This confuses me since I have been with this person more than once and I have done nothing different yet on this occasion my performance warrants a follow up phone call of approval. So is good sex really good sex or just something people tell themselves?

Use the smile test...if, say, a week later, you still can't hold back the smile when you think of the time, then it was very very good.
Then, ask yourself, is she smiling?

Sort of like talking to Mick Jagger and asking "what is a good gig?" yeah everyone is there and the same songs are being played, but then everything just clicks! What could be regular, run-of-the-mill sex for you may be extraordinary for her in a given incident. Her calling you to give you credit was probably misplaced - the credit belongs to her in having had the state of mind and relaxation to have more fully enjoyed that sexual encounter over the others you two have had previous. You could pound it til the cows came home, but if she's not in a sexual state of being....she may as well be doing the laundry, ya know?
