NADA.com. That is what the banks and dealers use to determine vehicle worth.

Kells blue book is a good start man. Then you have to compare what its got and what it dont. Then does it have evertthing you wantd if not how much is it gonna cost you outta pocket to put on. Then most of all condition and how she runs I mean if she need rubber usually 300 minumum all that stuffs gotta be considered. Listen it may look nice and that is why its may be higher but looks nice aint always the best you see these decked out imports all the time big bucks cause they sunk big cash into the but ask yourself why they selling it cause they beat it and gotta go before it costs again. Check around before buying it may save you alotta dough and even more walkin!!!

Used to sell cars heres the trick:

The dealer/seller will ask a certain amount. Call a bank and ask what you should charge for such a vehicle (as if YOU were seling it).

Then call another bank and ask what the loan value would be.

You will be shocked how different the answers will be.

Use that to make your determinations.

You can also look it up at a bookstore or library or online.

Have a look in books or on the internet at similar cars for sale and see if the prices are pretty much the same as the car you are looking at.

You need to factor in the condition of the car , mileage , maintenance records , tire wear , etc. Does it need any repairs ?

You also need to think about how you are paying for it , if you have cash it should be less , if they are letting you make payments it should be more.

Try kelley blue book , ebay , local car lots to get prices. If you have cash and its not a good deal , pass , there are millions of cars for sale.

don't know if it's still around but Parker's Price Guide used to give prices for every car under the sun and it gave a price for the condition as well. Or as mentioned, look on autotrader website or something.

Kelly Blue Book - look on line. Or, call your bank and give them make, model and year of car and tell them you want to take out a loan. They won't loan you more than the care is worth.
