I think someone is watching our house?? Please come here?
Well, two years ago someone broke in to one of our 2 houses a week before Christmas and took all the money and presents. Well now, my mom left { about a week ago} and we caught some looking in our windows. Acctually we caught more than 1 guy. Then we saw a car parked outside our house and sat there for a few hours. Man!!! And my gut is telling me that there has to be at least 1 person here, when we leave. We have 2 computers, Christmas presents, my grandma hit the lottery so they will take her money also.. Also, evreytime we try to call the police they take 30-45 minutes to get here.... Do you know of anything we can do so no one will break in??? Or what i could do to protect myself if someone was to break in??? Thank you very much!! Happy holidays!

You could spend some of your Grand mothers money and install an alarm system. The next time I saw someone parked outside my house I would call Police and then I would go out and ask the people in the car if I could help them.. Notice what they look like and tell the Police their description, etc. If they break in it depends what state you live in as to what you can do to protect you and your property.

If you have a gun, make it so they think the house is empty and when they try to break in, fire a couple of rounds (you don't have to actually hit them). That will show them that your house is no longer risk free for them and they will probably look for an easier/safer place to break in.

The reason why you should "entrap" them by faking the house is empty is that this way you get to choose the time and place and also show them that, in the future, they can never be sure if the house is actually empty.

PS: It might actually be a better idea not to actually hit any of them because they know where you live.

Oh Em Gee!!! Get a security system, have the TV running, the radio blasting, the lights off and on in different time periods- make it look like there are many people in the house! Call the cops and complain about people that parked their car in front of your house. They will get arrested for harrassement.

Lock the doors, and don't let anyone into the house you don't know. Don't leave unless you are sure its safe, and get a dog. Keep turning on different lights, and keep the tv or music playing. If you call the cops, they WILL send someone out to check , especially at night, if you tell them you have a prowler and your parents aren't home. If someone does break in, call 911 and just drop the phone and run out another door.

Get a gun and take some shooting lessons.

In the meantime, home security system is needed.
