Just went to the doc. because of killer dandruff. It can come from not completely rinsing your hair, it also can come from a disease that causes dry scalp, AND both cause a fungus which becomes your dandruff. Ask your doc for a prescription shampoo, the problem will be gone in a week.

Your friend is completely wrong. Never use CHEAP shampoo and ALWAYS completely rinse all of the shampoo out. Leaving shampoo build-up, on your scalp, will cause dandruff. Next time, ask an adult, like your parents or other family member. Friends don't always know the correct answer.

I think that dryed up shampoo can make your scalp itchy, but it doesn't cause dandruff. Dandruff is when you have flakes all over your scalp, and I don't know how shampoo would cause that, so I say no.

no. It is caused by dry skin or other medical condition. Try one of the dandruff shampoos on the market. If That doesn't work, it could be psoriasis or other condition.

correct me if Im wrong but dandruff is caused by a skin disease, and alot of people think they have dandruff when really its just dry scalp that is flaking off...if you think you have dandruff the only way to get rid of it is to go to your GP and get medical advise,no shampoo would stop it

Dandruff is a cause of putting too much hair spray in your hair or not scrubbing your scalp good when washing your hair.To get rid of Dandruff, wash your hair very good,or if you dont have time,Wet your hair, but it will still be there, but it won't be totally visible.

yes, if you donot rinse your hair properly. get a goo shampoo that doesn't contain sodium laureth sulphate. They sell them in health shops (faith in nature, Weleda, JASON are good brands).
also you can buy online (free P&P) see link, & look through the range for one that's appropriate for your hair
(if you want to get rid of dandruff perhaps try the anti-dandruff or a clarifying shampoo)
