Plug in HPV to your search engine and do some research. You'll scare anyone that has it!!! Like my GYN scared me!!! I hate her for it.
It's a virus. (that's what the "V" stands for). You become a carrier. I hear now with time and a good immune system, it can go away, but *I* still have it. I have a med/high risk strain, I was told. I hear that different strains have different outcomes.. like warts and such, but mine doesn't. I just live with knowing I have it and make sure that my immune system is as high as I can get it.
Many men have asked me/assumed that a condom will help for sex. No, it's a virus. Can a condom protect you from the flu?
As for the cancer... I don't know much about THAT, but I look at it this way.. that if I keep my immune system up and don't do anything to compromise it in any way and I don't have a family history to help it along.. then I'm good for as long as the fates allow. No you can't get the cancer, but if you had sex with your wife after she caught it then you have become a carrier.. and you don't want to know how to get rid of it. (freezing/burning off is what I hear). Just have yourself checked as a carrier so you don't infect other women. Best of luck.

HPV is not like other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), which need to be detected and treated. HPV is a virus that lives in the skin, rather than in your body. There is no clear health benefit to knowing you have this virus—since HPV is unlikely to affect your health and cannot be treated. For most men, there would be no need to treat HPV, even if treatment were available— since it usually goes away on its own.

While most men will not develop health problems from HPV, some men are at higher risk of disease from HPV. HIV-positive men are more likely to get severe and prolonged cases of genital warts, which may be more resistant to treatment. They are also more likely to develop anal cancer.

It is also important for men to realize that they can unknowingly transmit HPV to their female sex partners. Compared to heterosexual men, women are at higher risk of developing disease from HPV—most notably, cervical cancer. Cervical cancer in women is much more common than anal or penile cancer in men. According to ACS, more than 9,700 women will be diagnosed with cervical cancer in the U.S. in 2006.

There are also cases of oral cancer from HPV. So II think it would be good if men were vaccinated also.

hello,
well hpv can cause cervical cancer and men are the carrier of the disease because there are no symptoms that men can see so they don't think they have any thing until tested....i have cervical cancer and they tried to say that it was caused by hpv (human papalonial virus) but i found out i never had it and that the cancer was inherited through the women in my family......i am only 27.....but men are the carriers of hpv so get your self checked for it and stop blaming your ex wife....because you may have speard it to the new person.....and she needs to be checked too....it can turn into cervical cancer if untreated...protect your self and you won't have too worry as much.....good luck and stay safe there is a virus that is incurable called HIV and aids and is getting worse by the second.....

Moles, warts, and epidermis labels are common skin lesions that develop naturally. Although they are generally non dangerous, they could be uncomfortable if found on an obvious part including the face. Skin wounds like moles and warts cause self esteem problems to the sufferers. An individual with moles normally becomes a loner since they don't want to be seen in public. They feel uncomfortable to be out in public places, therefore despair will naturally follow but you can now change all this with this manual from here https://tr.im/gpH4P , Moles, Warts and Skin Tags Removal eBook.
The writer of this eBook, Charles Davidson, is really a practitioner in substitute medicine.  He is also a specialist in natual skin care, applying organic treatments to heal various kinds of skin conditions.
Moles, Warts and Skin Tags Removal program is a 100% natural program, established to get rid of skin deformities such as for example epidermis tags, moles, and warts, no matter how large or small they are.  It is actually secure to use on children.

Yes you can get HPV and yes it can and does cause cancer in men. There are two drug companies that have a vaccine, but, i don't know if it helps after you are infected. In India, HPV is treated topically with neem and turmeric, wormwood and black walnut, and arbor vitae. Once the "warts" are gone, if you keep up the treatments (you take them internal also) eventually you will "shed" the virus. I don't know exactly how it works, but basically you will not be a carrier anymore. I found the wormwood, black walnut and arbor vitae to work much faster, and have had no recurrances for 2 years now.
