Why do you ride ppls azzes on the road? Do you think its going to make them speed up so almighty you can pass? Why should ppl speed and risk a ticket so that you may?
Why do you cut people off directly in front of their car and especially at times when the lane your in is clear?

i agree with you about the tailgating part. it is very dangerous and most of the time it is pointless. however, when it comes to driving on the left lane of the freeway, you are usually expected to drive faster than the drivers on the right. that is the general rule when driving on the freeway. it is used to pass other vehicles. that is why most fast drivers are on that lane. but you treat the lane like it is your own lane. when you just stay on that lane, and not letting other drivers pass when you have space to do so and they dont, you end up not only provoking them, but it often obstructs the flow of traffic, and sometimes causes accidents to other drivers. that is why they are tailgating you. every drivers have their own reasons why they want or need to speed. regardless of their reasons, if they want to speed and tailgate, then thats their decision, whether you like it or not, even if they have to pay the price. but then it comes to your decision of choosing life or death. its good that you dont slam on your brakes when there is a tailgator behind you, unlike certain drivers, but for the safety of you and your kids, it is best to try to avoid them whenever possible, not aggrevating it. if the oncoming drivers follows close behind you, the only best thing to do, as a good and safe driver is to try to switch lanes and let them pass. not only will it make them happier, but it will relieve the stress and pressure of having to speed up and unnecessary road rage.

I agree with coach. You never know when it's an emergency.
It is also the POLITE thing to do, move out of the way for a faster vehicle. I see it all the time.
There are signs specifically stated "Keep right, Left lane for passing", for a reason, and the idiots that violate that annoy me. I don't care if people want to do over or under the speed limit. That is up to them. But if you do want to go slow, don't hog the left lane, that's just rude.
And as for the idiots that slow up, omg. You're ASKING for an accident. Quit being goofy and scoot into the right lane a sec. There are so many accidents caused by the slower moving traffic, it's ridiculous. There are a lot of insane people on the road, and some people slow up to piss them off. I can't tell you how many accidents I've seen because people have slowed up to piss off the person behind them, and the person behind them was a psycho that just plowed right through them.
Whether you're going to go fast or slow, use some common sense, and be careful!

Driving in a manner for the expressed purpose of ticking someone off (as suggested by one of the responders) is as bad as tailgating.

I have many times pulled off to the side of the road (at a safe location) to allow a tailgating driver, or a driver I have spotted in my rear view mirror pulling up to me at a rapid speed, to get past me.

First of all, there are enough ticked off drivers on the road and anything a person can do to keep people calm, the better, and the safer the roads will be for you.

Second, you will never know if they have a real emergency, and if the delay you are causing them may result in a person not making it to a parent's or even a child's death bed, or cause a pregnant woman to have a baby in the car instead of the hospital.

All people need to use common sense and respect, and if they did the roads would be safer for everyone.

In todays international we play the hurry up and wait activity in case you don't like the way yet another drives there isn't any longer a lot you may do except force contained in the approach the evening at the same time as others are not on the line. Our lives are to busy to be in the back of a few individual who needs to take a seat and act like its a Sunday. in case you spot there are more beneficial injuries because you've that one fool contained in the line that feels the favor to flow 10 below the revealed speed reduce. performing infantile about it received't sparkling up the issue and also you cant substitute the international. Bitching about it particular wont substitute it both quickly the revealed speed reduce on our highways will be 80 and that i vote for this. I cant wait till I see at the same time as the speed reduce larger. that is surprising the Autobahn over in Europe has no revealed speed reduce and human beings look a lot less less than pressure out on the line over there then we are right here. in case you dont like different using your *** you've some ideas stay off the line take the bus or call a taxi. the perfect bumper stick I actually have ever considered is in the adventure that your gonna journey my *** at lease pull my hair at the same time as doing it!

At the risk of offending someone, most of the drivers I see tailgating me are female. I don't know why they are in such a hurry but I'm sure that most women have less understanding than men of the mechanics of how a car's brake system works and it's limited ability to stop the car quickly. Ladies, cars will not stop on a dime nor will it stop automatically while you're tailgating and looking all over the car for your hair brush.

Sorry, I'm just calling it the way I see it.

The left lane is the passing lane. If you are in the left lane on the highway and someone is riding your bumper, it's because they want to get by you. Passing on the right is illegal. So obey the law and yield to faster moving traffic. Make the world a better place.

I myself am not a tailgator; however thre are ppl on the road who really need to evaluate their driving abilities. There's a slow lane and a fast lane.If you choose to go slower then just get over,so the people who choose to go faster can.

I just hate tailgators sometimes I slow down to barely moving and that way they pass me..sometimes i just feel like slamming on my brakes so they will hit me in the behind, but i don,t want to mess up my car,but if i did that it would be their fault.

I hate that too! Whenever someone tailgates me, I slow down. If I'm on the freeway, I'll make sure I have a truck or two beside me so that they can't pass me then go under the speed limit.
