Marriage between first cousins is against the law in some states because danger of birth defects in babies due to genes.If you are 1st cousins,you should consider this also and think love and marriage two different relations in life.You still can make love if you are very care full

I know you love eachother, but this is not right. Maybe back in the olden days it was excepted, but not these days. Is this your first cousin? That is like marrying your brother. Because think of it, say if it is your mother's, sister's son your in love with...............it's just gross. Stop it now! How did this happen? Is there not any other people where you live? I suggest you two seek some counseling. If I were his parents, I would completely against it, too.

This same situation happend in my girlfriends family. Her brother married his first cousin. Despite feelings of family and friends, they got married and had a child. Their child unfortunately has physical and mental disabilities. Is it a direct correlation to their close genetic disposition? I am not sure. The marriage eventually failed due to family stress as well as other people who had their two sense. I would first ask for advice from a medical professional about genetic dispositions and I would look deep inside myself about this issue. Your relationship has already started on a " politically incorrect" footing. Love is powerful but, the only certainty in life is change and ask yourself " Will your love stay strong through all the bullshit that is inevitable to arise?"

Well there are other ramification if you are 1st cousins, as it is medically dangerous for you two to have children together and there are laws against marrying your 1st cousins in most states.
If you are 2nd cousin no problem but first cousins problem. That is how life is.

This could be very bad if you want kids in the future. Your child would have high risk of birth defects.Think about what matters the most. It is hard to go through life without family.

They are possibly worried because thy fear any problems with any children you may have.
Both of you, sit down with both sets of parents and talk it all through. Tell them that you want to be together with their blessing, but if it comes to it, it will have to be without their blessing. You will outlive your parents so you really do have to do what you think best for your future
