Actually, they can lose their dogs if they don't take proper care, including picking up their waste. This is true not only if the dog goes in a public place, but at home also. They have inspections several times a year from their guide dog association, and if there are any "red flags" I believe they have a very limited time to correct it or lose the privelege of having a dog. They also have to keep them at a certain weight and in good health paying all the vet bills themselves.

Guide dogs are trained not to poo in public.

oh, I doubt it
usually those dogs dont poo in public. but blind people are very in tuned to their dogs.I have seen them pick it up.
If they cant or dont notice its ok for us just to do it for them.
do note also if they poo in the park... they have had all their shots,
and they are healthy.and poo is bio-degradable and will melt with the next good rain. good question tho!

i highly doubt that because, no offense blind ppl, the wouldn't be able to find it that easily. Plus, most guide dogs are trained not to "#2" in public because of this.

Id say with all the training those dogs go through Id be very surprised if they didn't get advanced toilet training.
