There is a lot of hatred for Mexicians these days! Do they deserve it? Are they really the ones ruining America?

Illegal immigration into the US is profitable for employers and the US government. In 2004 under the Bush Administration gained 3 million illegal immigrants residents in 2004. In 2005, the US and Mexican governments enticed illegal immigrants to enter the US and work illegally.

October 7, 2005, 80 members of the House of Representatives sent Bush a letter, asking him to enforce immigration laws, and to stop considering the proposed guest-worker immigration program. Congressman Culberson said "We've got a full-scale war going on our southern border. You don't need to go to Iraq to see a war. We've got widespread lawlessness...We need boots on the ground...ASAP."

The US-Mexico border remains significantly under-patrolled, and
there is still no plan to solve the problem, and the new Congress’s 2007 agenda doesn’t even address immigration.

Who should be blamed?

In China they build a wall that was so strong and so big it couldn't be breached. However, armies managed to get through it just by paying the guy at the gate. If Homeland Security is going to just let people in than what's the point?

Accually I do communicate with two of my state's congresmen's office regularly on this subject. However, Congress can't do anything about Homeland Security they don't have the authority.

What I am most concerned about is that the US government isn't going to do anything, and the problem will escalate. Read the Q/A here. There's a lot of fear, prejudice, and hatred in some of those statements. It's like Germany back in the 1930's

it's not that their Mexican it's that Mexico is a poor country if Ireland bordered us and were as poor as Mexico it would be the Irish and so on with the rest of the world. the problem is two fold 1 the Mexican govt. is extremely corrupt .2 so is our govt . if they wanted to stop illegal imm. they would simply arrest those who hire them, rent apt. to them or in any other way aid and abet. they would also have local police arrest the illegals..it's the same when it comes to drugs if they(those running the govt.) wanted to stop drugs coming across the border they would.George Bush should be charged with treason because he not only refuses to uphold the laws of this land which is his sworn duty and to protect this country against all enemies foreign and domestic but at one and the same time he was feeding a foreign military(the Mexican army)intelligence on the movement of our border patrol agents and the minutemen he called vigilantes to aid the Mex army in assisting their citizens to cross the border. All of this to provide cheap labor to his political cronies so they can make a buck .Govt. corruption hurts all of us on both sides of the border it's completely paralyzed the Mexican economy and it will do the same thing to us. the reason why congress doesn't do anything is their corrupt also . and so it's a stalemate if they expose the admin. then he'll expose them if they try to put charges on him he'll do the same(a long story short).

Why do you feel the need to spread hate and fear? don't you see that by this you become a tool in the hands of those who want to control us? "Boots on the ground"? Military? that's against the us constitution. not that that matters, it's also against the constitution to allow the supreme court to elect the president.

The immigration issue is not about security, or jobs, or taxes, or law enforcement. It is about the Republican Party losing control of the House of Representatives in November.

Culberson and his party cannot run a campaign on what they have done for the American people, so they have resorted to constantly bashing the immigrants of the country.

Those statistic's are bogus.....True, there are a disproportionate number of illegals in our prisons, but there is a reason for that....

The most detailed study of criminal justice processing decisions involving immigrants was undertaken in El Paso and San Diego by Pennell et al. (1989). This study found in both cities that illegal aliens made up the largest proportion of immigrants prosecuted, and that these illegal aliens were much less likely than others to be released from jail prior to trial. For example, in El Paso only 14 percent of illegal immigrants compared with over 50 percent of all others were able to "BAILOUT" prior to trial...When accused persons are unable to obtain release they may have greater difficulty generating resources to defend themselves in court, leaving them more vulnerable to conviction, and ultimately to imprisonment.....Many people think it is because there are more illegals in prison, compared to Americans, but this simply is NOT true.....ITS BECAUSE THEY DON'T BAILOUT OUT! They are indigent and cannot afford to pay an attorney to represent them in trail....Nor can they afford the bail out, so they remain in prison, much more so than Americans or residents....

If you don't like inmigrants, now the USA have more than 150 000 soldiers in Iraq, ask Mr. Bush to call those men and put them in the border, the illegal inmigration will end very soon.

it isn't as clear cut as that. everyone that eats chicken processed in a chicken plant contributes to the problem- the Pilgrim's Pride company actually distributed flyers, in Spanish, throughout Mexico and Central America soliciting workers... many of the restaurant workers (at least in TX) are illegals. As long as America wants things cheaply and businesses and individuals provide work for them, immigrants are going to keep coming- if you and your children were starving, wouldn't you? who do you think will be building that 'wall' to keep illegal immigrants out? The blame can best be placed on the unbelievably inequitable socioeconomic conditions in Mexico.

i'm a hispanic and the way i see it, mexicans are the backbone of this counrty. who's going to pick vegies and fruits? who helps with the road construction? things like those white ppl don't see. if you really think about it, when some one sells their social security and birth certificate to an illegal, the governmet is getting the tax income thats not claimed. in other words, the us government isn't losing on that one. but i do understand for the side that mexicans with no papers are using our hospitals when they get sick. if you were a mexican, you'd understand why mexican are doing this.

the only reason that others that are leagal are getting mad at the fact that they can't get a good job, it's because illeagals get paid less. the employer doesn't have to spend twice as much on a leagal. that's why leagals can't get a job.

for the mexican border. why secure it more? you know i can walk from the us to canada with no patrol? i did it once walking through the woods. the united states should also secure the canadian border too as well as the mexican border. when congress and all the other white government ppl see that, that's when you'll see a big change.

think about all the workforce that will be lost. feild work will deminish, road cunstruction will decrease, there will be less homes built. all that will affect america when there isn't anyone else who WILL actually work hard for money that can bearly feed their families.

The racist congress should be blamed in my book.

they say that "united states of america is a rustic of immigrants", yet I do could desire to upload that a definate cut back off factor replaced into tried around 1910, whilst the classic communities, frequently from Europe assimilated as a 'melting pot', and yeah, that meant finally time to close our borders and grow to be a real u . s . with basically that, no longer basically up for grabs for absolutely everyone who desires again... a minimum of, i think of the belief replaced into that, and we easily did that. and in certainty, we've adequate issues stemming basically from that. Racial strife interior this way of the Mafia, and and so on. later on we've been given much extra stupid innovations that everybody is welcome each and each of the time, and issues we've, too as a result.... I loathe, working example, how East Indians seem to have the hotel and hotel companies sewn up on the west coast, -before I ever have been given to the west coast-, how I never even met an East Indian till they got here and commenced identifying to purchase each and everything up, so yeah, if racism and resentment performs a ingredient right here, now, i think i think an analogous way, and sorry for that, yet, you comprehend, everywhere i pass, I save my passport, and it tells me the place i'm born, and finally i'm going to only could desire to settle for that, and so could desire to they ...

The US, Mexico and Canada are going to be merged into one.

Watch it happen.

There's no need to control immigration because Mexico and Canada are going to be part of the same government entity. Call it what you will, but there will be no more "illegal Aliens" and therefore you will see more people eligible for the military.
