Proactiv does work for some people. I know people who get great results with it. Nothing works for everyone. The company has a great reputation for standing by their product. When you get it, keep the packing slip and other printed info that comes with it.. It will have instructions for getting a refund if you're not satisfied.

Pro active is an over the counter acne treatment. Did clearasil work for you? If not then proactive won't either because it's the same ingredient and the same strength. The only difference between clearasil and proactive is that proactive has a bunch of crap that you don't need (toners, cleansers etc.)and the price.
When you get your package in the mail, read the instructions on how to send it back, I have heard that their refund policy is easy and fast.

I wouldn't recommend it, because I didn't have that bad of acne to begin with and gave proactive a try for a month only to end up with worse of skin then I had before. Seriously, reconsider using it, I have heard about it working, but seem to hear more about problems with it.

Don't believe it! I suffered with recurring acne on my forehead for 6 years, trying everything I could get my hands on to clear it up. I even went to a dermatologist for a prescription for antibiotics and steroid acne cream. All of these remedies would work temporarily, and the acne would come right back. Two years ago, I ordered Proactiv, and I've been acne free ever since! It's wonderful. Once a month (for feminine reasons) I'll get one acne bump, but, other than that I am 100% satisfied.

I have two friends that swear by proactive. I've been around them when they ran out, and it did make a difference in thier skin.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and try it if you want to. It's not that much $ and for many people it does work.
