I want to get a brown coloured tattoo but have heard that after a while it will turn blue. Is this true??

yeah one of my family members has a tattoo and it DOES look bluish. Not necessarily baby blue or anything, but more of a navy color.

The ink artists use these days are far better than those that were used in the past. If you take proper care of your tattoo and remember to use sunblock when outside then I wouldn't think that you'd have a problem. Also, remember to seek out a high quality artist that can do exactly what you want... and don't go to someone less talented just to save a buck or two.

If you don't take care of your tattoo, it will look like crap. Keep sunscreen on it all the time and take proper care when you get it so it doesn't scab.

Those old seamen with blue blobs got their tats overseas under poor conditions with low quality ink. Modern inks are FAR superior to the old stuff, and a good shop/artist knows how much of each color to use to get the result you want. Shop around.

now-a-days it is all depending on the skill of the artist and how you take care of it after.
I had a really skilled artist do mine over ten years ago it has multiple colours in it and it still looks brand new. on the other hand my dad has some that he got after mine done by an ok artist but he is in the sun with it unprotected all summer long to so his look like blurred pieces of crap

Most western tattoos eventually turn into ugly blurred bluish stains. Enjoy.

it depends on how well you take care of it and how good of an artist you got

I've had mine for almost ten years now and it's still black.
