The only way to get rid of split ends is to have them cut off, and then take advice on general hair care from your hairdresser...

First, go to a salon and tell them to take off just enough length to get the split ends. From there, you'll want to have it trimmed (not cut) every 6 to 8 weeks, approximately.

For maintenance in between, don't put it in ponytails before you go to sleep, and don't use hair elastics with metal pieces because they damage your hair.

Also, I've always heard that rinsing hair in cold water once you've washed it will help "seal" the ends so they don't split.

As far as issue of oiliness, washing with a clarifying shampoo once a week will balance it out. Also, if you use conditioner when you wash, try to cut back the amount you use and how often you use it - My hair used to only take about a day to look oily. Now I don't use conditioner and I can go for three days without washing before it looks oily.

Frequent washing can strip your hair of the natural oils your head makes that protects the hair shaft. Letting those oils do their job will keep your hair looking good too.

Hope this has helped.

You should just get your hair cut, and if you dont want to do that then you should get some type of hairspray that will cure split ends, and if you are worried you wont find it then you can go to a harsolon close to where you live, and then they should have hair products that you can use and they have hair products for oily hair to.

Try Alberto VO5 Hot Oil treatment (I use the kind that you don't even have to preheat first). Also, have those split ends trimmed. You might as well because there is no way you can heal split ends; serums and hot oil treatments just temporarily bond the sliced ends until you wash your hair again.

Is your hair permed? If so, you should have the dry tips trimmed and then go to the site www.bebeautiful.com and find a really good conditioner. This site carries Burt's Bees items (all natural ingredients) and I'm sure you will find exactly what you need.

For your split ends, just cut them frequently!
For example, if you iron your hair when its wet, you get split ends. so try to avoid things like that.
and for the oil, just find a very good shampoo that is meant to use daily, and wash your hair every day. hope this helps :)

for the split ends problem you should use SUNSILK Hydra TLC because it is cheap and it works! i had the same problem as you. when you get out of the shower and after your hair is damp, you take a dollop or two of it and run it through your hair. for the oil problem, all i can suggest is that you avoid any hair serums because that causes oily hair.

You need to go to your hairdresser and get a trim. Trimming your hair every 2 months will make it grow faster and stay healthy.

you need to trim them off to get rid of them.. and then after you do that.. protect the new ends with a lot of moisture and no heat styling

good luck!
