Now this might sound weird, but when my boyfriend pulled a durex condom (ribbed =) ) out it's packet instead of being normal condom colour it was red, properly dark red. I made him chuck the lot away. Was I just being parnoid or is it not normal to have red condoms?

Durex condoms come in a lot of colors.. There for red is one of them. To answer your question red is normal and you are not being paranoid.. As to why he would through them away I am not sure.. But a least you are practicing safe sex...

Yes it is perfectly fine. They are called "Gold Coin" durex condoms... they do often come in assorted colors.

I feel just like you do. I would not like red condoms either.
Those take all the romance out.
