Pros: His fat *** protects him in the extreme cold. He gets to play with the cool new toys first. There's no elf labor abuse laws. Plenty of reindeer for food and transport, all for himself. Elves don't get to see him in his swimming trunks. Always the last one standing in a snow fight with elves. Once a year appearance makes him like a big celebrity or something. He's safe from child sexual abuse accusations.
Cons: Even though female elves are really horny and kinky, he don't like 'em. Yea, its so bad that he gets more action in his reindeer barn than with female elves. Mrs Claus is too old to cook anymore. So eating elves is better than eating their tiny elf food. Eating elves would have been in pros but its reducing the elf population.

It's no good because as we all know glaciers are melting...so pretty soon we're going to be telling the story of santa and how he got "tired" of the snow, so now he lives underwater.
