What are the options? A 33 year old virgin in a time when the average lifespan was about that long seems highly improbably.

I don't think Jesus would be that disrespectful of Mary Magdalene or anyone else.
Saint Mary Magdalene was the first witness to the resurrection of Jesus. (See the 20th Chapter of the Gospel of John).
She was one of Jesus' followers during his ministry, and was present at the cross when he died.
There is some debate on whether she is the woman in Luke 7 who was a notorious sinner. Most biblical scholars believe that Mary Magdalene was not the notorious sinner.
The 8th chapter of the Gospel of Luke describes Mary Magdalene as being healed and supporting Jesus' ministry out of her means.
With love in Christ.

Possible, it's also possible that in addition Mary Magdalene, Jesus also had intimate relationship with other women.
Descendant of David, that is Jesus. David had a lot of women, the same probably also happened to Jesus.

Check Ephesians 5:24-27, which says, "Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such things but that it should be holy and without blemish." This implies that Christ is married to the Church. Indeed, Revelation affirms that the Church, then present in the new Jerusalem, is presented to Christ as a bride is presented to a bridegroom. As such, for Jesus and Mary Magdalene to have an intimate relationship would constitute adultery, implying that Jesus sinned. Therefore, by the Bible, it is impossible.
By the way, Gaz, I checked that article, and it says that Sarah was a servant, not Mary's daughter (??), so I'm not sure where your coming from. And besides (to the person who said He didn't have to be "pure"), Jesus was the Son of God. His life was to be the perfect example of being sinless and giving total, complete devotion to God. Being married would take some importance away from God and dedicate it to a mortal woman, unless you would go so far as to say that he would marry her just because or just to use her for pleasure, which is evil to say.

Why not? Many things are never mentioned because they're understood. The first commandment is to be fruitful and multiply -- does the Bible say Mary Magdalene *wasn't* his wife? Does the Bible give us the genealogy of everyone mentioned in its stories?
Men at that time did not become *adults* until they were married. What did barren women pray for more than anything else? A son for her husband! The only reason his mother is mentioned is because the "Old Testament" predicts the messiah being born of a young woman of marriageable age (mistranslated as *virgin* in the Septuagint).

Jesus had a mission. No, I think that if He had been married. Scripture would have mentioned it. And Mary Magdalene didn't have a name that she'd gotten from marriage. Magdelene means she was from a town called Magdela. If she'd had a relationship with Jesus it would have been adulterous. And that would have made Jesus a hypocrite.
As far as the Gospel of Phillip, Thomas, Mary. I think they can only be traced back to 2nd Century at the earliest. So that would mean that it wouldn't have been written by Phillip, Thomas, or Mary. So they aren't that credible in my opinion and they contradict the other gospels which can be traced back to 1st century a.d. and was written by eye witnesses or Luke who had done extensive research by talking to eye witnesses.
As far as Dan Brown's argument about how a Jewish man of his age being married. That wasn't true for the prophet Jeremiah and plus when Jesus went back to His hometown, He wasn't treated with much respect. "A prophet is not without honor except in his own hometown." Could have been a lot of reasons for that. Perhaps one of them was that He was unmarried.
Anyway, hope this was helpful.

Jesus was a man. Why is it so hard to assume that he wouldn't have had a relationship with a woman? 'sides, if he married Mary Magdalene, he wouldn't have been "committing a sin" by sleeping with her, it would have been something that happened between a married couple. Last time I checked, sex between a married couple isn't forbidden by the bible, so why would he have to be "pure"? Remember, while he was supposedly God's son, he was also a man, like any other man.

After the events surrounding Jesus' death, Mary Magdelaine left Judea for Egypt where she travelled North to Southern France.
While she was in Egypt she gave birth to a daughter, Sarah.
Where she and Sarah reached the French coast there is now a shrine with a statue of Sarah called Saint Sarah of Egypt, the shrine however is early Christian 1st century and is the object of pilgrimage for many in the area. Sarah is Black......!!!
Make the connection....Mary Magdelaine was pregnant at the time she was supposed to be Jesus' 'companion', this is how she is described in the bible, in those times 'companion' meant spouse. the obvious conclusion is Jesus was black.
This is Not conjecture, these are facts drawn from history and the bible.....
Saint Sarah has since been decanonised....want a picture...still don't believe me?

Many of the disciples were married before they followed Jesus. If Jesus was married, it would have been mentioned. There is no shame in marriage. So logically, the story appears to be fake or a result of some Gnostic fantasy of the 2nd and 3rd centuries.

I am Rational Spirituality,
My answer to your question is yes, and why not? Christ had altogether 28 incarnations during which he had several normal relationships, and as a woman, did bear children.
With our entry into the Spiritual Age, the Soul of Christ had become Divine, he became One with God.
Read the Concept of Rational Spirituality available on the Dhaxem website. Conveyed from the Source only in February 2006, it is already the thinkng person's modern bible. To you, it will be an eye opener.
