If it is an electrolytic or tantalum (the type polarity matters) one end will be marked with a + or a -- sign. If there is no marking, the capacitor is non-polarized and it doesn't matter.

10 microfarad may well be polarized
there are several types
don't put power to it until you are sure
they can explode

Use a voltmeter!!!!!
anyone of the leads can be positive, depends on the volatge which was applied on it.

For a non-electrolytic capacitor, there isn't any. If it is an electrolytic capacitor, the leads will be marked.:

put it either way, doesn't matter

those tiny ones are usually used for clipping noise or creating timing pulses
