if i want know about automation tools in word for example were can i find that information?

A "Word for Dummies" book or other reference type book. The industry has long since stopped publishing good documentation, and what they have online is generally stuff you run into anyway. I've yet to find a good answer for a real problem. My problems are never covered in the standard documentation.
