I do not htink so, nothing is for certain though and I do not beleive in destiny or fate. we came closer in the Cuban missle crisis, so I think we are not in or last days. Even if we had a major catastrophe or war, mankind would survivie. We are the first intelligent species that has the ability to shape its own future and save itself or destroy itself, no other species on this planet has that power.

Yes we are and in fact, we are in the final part of the "last days."
2 Timothy 3:1-5 is being fulfilled. It tells us what the "last days" will be like. Read this and determine for yourself if we are near the end of this wicked system.
"You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!( New Living Translation) Jesus also said that wars, earthquakes and diseases would be on the rise and this has been the case since 1914. And the major sign would be that the good news of God's Kingdom would be preached to the entire inhabited earth and this is now being done in 235 lands.
Matthew 24:14--"When the good news about the kingdom has been preached all over the world and told to all nations, the end will come."

I have a problem with Revelations because not only do they portray a radically different Jesus than the one shown in the Gospels, but the very premise of their visions tends to overshadow the message of the Gospels. Jesus seemed very much worried about how people related to each other in the here and now; how does worrying about the end times help anyone understand or love their neighbor, how do angels with bowls of plagues foster a sense of forgiveness? It seems to me that the very trap of looking for Jesus' return is foreshadowed in the 14 maidens (believe they were maidens, could have been bridegrooms or something else) parable, where 7 maidens kept their lamps trimmed and their oil full while the other 7 maidens frittered and wasted their resources. Its not about being in the 'last days', I believe its about living and learning each day so that one is prepared for whatever the next day will bring.

The last days of what? Are we in the last days of the human species on Earth? I don't think so. The only nations with the capability for destroying the Earth's human population with nukes are the Chinese and the Americans and neither of them are showing any inclination to do anything like that. In any case the Earth will continue to support life in one form or another until the sun turns into a red giant star, about 5 billion years from now. The nature of our universe will continue much as it is now until maybe 20 billion years from now when dark energy will tear all matter apart.

The Bible refers to the "last days" as the time between the first and second coming of Christ. Yes we have been in the last days for 2000 years.

Yes, and we have been for the last two thousand years.
According to Peter, in Acts 2:16
He quotes a promise of Joel (2:28), which refers to "The last days", and then says that the promise has now been fulfilled.
Therefore, from then till now is all part of "the last days."
Are there more signs of the end of the last days?
THAT question I'll leave alone.
(I'm not a Christian, but I do know my bible)

This is called Millenarianism. People have been claiming the end of the world for centuries, and here we still are. So don't hold your breath.
However, there are non-religious facets to Millenarianism - the social and political sort of focus, where it is believed that civilization or society is about to undergo radical transformations [some say for the good, some say for the bad]. And so that could happen, as in some unforeseen natural disaster like an asteroid strike, or as in something foreseen but denied, like global warming. Mere wars usually don't do it...

I don't know about last days, but some terrible things are about to happen that are going to cause a lot of people to wake up and change, or they will choose to fail to do so and rot away like a cancer.

Only God knows, not even Jesus knows, what is the point of asking this very old question. Only the Father knows, so let's prepare, doing good instead of evil, giving to the poor, forgiving people who do bad to us, that you may be ready when He comes, whenever that shall be.
