It's a "cubit" and it's a length of measure, about from the tip of your middle finger to your elbow. Since that length can vary by several inches amongst adults, it isn't a terribly accurate yardstick and nobody uses it anymore.

The word is cubit, not qubic. It is a unit of linear measurement, a bit longer, than a foot, I think.
Look it up in Wikipedia or on Google.
A qubic's rube is a guy who buysd a defective Rubik's Cube. heh heh.

I believe what you are referring to is a “cubit.”
cubit – noun
an ancient linear unit based on the length of the forearm, from elbow to the tip of the middle finger, usually from 17 to 21 in. (43 to 53 cm).
[Origin: 1325–75; ME, OE < L cubitum elbow, cubit; perh. akin to cubāre to lie down ]
