you can really fall in love through internet eventhough you're miles away from one another...it is really fun and very fullfilling and inspires you in everything you do..but the most important thing is that you need to know both of your situation from the very start.
there are so many cases i know. ..they just loved through internet but when they met, everything turns down and find out that they dont really like or love one another. you know why? because from the very start, they lied w/ one another about their looks, age etc...
there must be a secret on this internet love, especially when you just met her on line. BEING TRUE TO YOURSELF...so that when you meet, there's nothin to be ashamed of..

By meeting that person you might find yourself VERY dissapointed because you ruined that "fantasy " that you had of them.I personally believe that there is a bigger chance falling inlove over the internet then there is in the outside world which makes the chance of getting hurt even bigger as distance may be a problem.Speaking to someone which you know nothing about on the internet and don't have any expectations from has a bigger chance of finding things to relate to you with then the typical person because it's a relationship that is based on sharing information, talking and trying to find something meaningfull to say back to the other person.
How often do you see that in the real world? They have every reason to lie, yet No reason to lie.In the end you can't help be yourself with that stranger. If you do fall in love you just have to ask yourelf how far will you go to be with that person?

When people fall in love, they are setting up for disappointment anyway. The same way you can be disappointed if you meet someone in a bar, in a blind-date, or under any other circumstance. I've seen disappointment after falling in love with the girl next door. The Internet just opened another via for possibility. people rarely fall in love with the real person, they fall in love with their idea of who that person is.
Falling in love with someone through the Net, may be risky, but not because of the miles of distance, but because of the fantasy you build around the other person. (that's why it is called "virtual-love") Some people can't handle the real thing because the real thing destroys their fantasy, and when the infatuation is over, rejection takes over. Too sad!

You can definitely fall in love via the internet. You can be 100% open, trusting, etc via the internet. You have been told that other person's innermost secrets and find that you have much in common or find them entirely intriguing. Since personality trumps physical attraction in the long run unless either of you is extraordinarily shallow, you've got a great start to a strong relationship!

There's such a thing as internet love and the
real thing; and the real thing is more accurate
as you are face to face with that person and
you can see for yourself other than just words
what that person is about after awhile. So I
would much rather fall in love with person who
I can see for myself what that person is all
about rather than the good chat used on the
internet.

Yes. My bf and I met online accidentally and we are 20 hrs apart - by plane. But we've been "together" (well the distance still exists for the time being) for more than 2 years and we're still very much in love.

DEFINITELY YES--you can fall in love thru internet. You cant know where you can find love. When it is there it is there and as long as you feel love, distance does not matter. Just enjoy the feeling. Love is very hard to find!

I met my spouse online, back in the good old days of BBS, pre-world wide web. We've been together for 10 years and he's my best friend.

NO, you can not fall in love with someone you've never actually met. In my opinion, you're falling in love with the IDEA of falling in love. Disappointment is almost guaranteed...
