There are a million different textures to African American hair. The only thing that would make ANYone's hair wavy is to treat it while dry, straighten it as straight as possible then use a wave iron on it or braid it and remove the braids the next day. Otherwise, no.

After you get out of the show take some gel and scrunch your hair it should have soft curls in it.
