Its is the right thing to do. Most hospitals need to have blood supplies to keep them going. You are saving a person life when you give blood. Its the only thing that you can truly give away from your own body. Think about the lives you save and the joy and happiness of the victim's families. I always feel a sense of honor when i donate blood.

I first started donating bloodwhen i was 17. I HATE needles, but it is a worthy cause. You have probably met at least one person who has benefited from someone donating their blood. Nowadays you can donate whole blood or Plasma. Some places even pay you for "donating" plasma. Everyone should do it if they are able. The red cross continually holds donation on college campuses and als on military instalation and I'm sure at many other locations

My husband is a regular blood donor and I donate a few times a year (I used to be a regular donor but I work with kids so I tend to get everything that comes to town). I feel it is important to keep a good blood supply on hand, especially this time of year. If you are a healthy person who isn't afraid of needles give it a try..you might just save a life.
Plus you get free cookies & juice :P

It is a good thing to do. It does'nt cause any problems for the donor. There is nothing to fear. I did it a couple of times, but now I am on regular low dose aspirin and cannot do so.

i have never done it.
if someone really specifically needed my blood i might do it, but i can't just donate for the masses.
i can barely stand to give a couple of vials for blood work, it just grosses me out.

i would love to donate..but i think im too young? im 13 and my mom doesnt let me but when she does i will donate as much as i can :)

I'm a generous person in general, but not with my blood. I suppose that in a real emergency, I might.
