Stay. It is only 5 months. The time will pass. It is called "short term pain for long term gain". I can guarantee you that if you quit you will greatly regret it, and probably much sooner than you think. Stick with it. You have come this far ... you can do it.

OMG! I know so many people that regret quitting when they were not even as close to graduating as you are, please stick it out. Lets find a way to make it easier for you shall we?
What do you want to do next?(I recommend community college--gives you a taste of higher education w/out the trauma of leaving home & allows you time to figure yourself out--- or the military----will give you discipline----but thats just me wishing I had made some better choices)
Lets say you want to go backpacking around Europe for this purpose ok? take a huge piece of posterboard and hang it up in your room where you can see it first thing in the morning. Write something on it to the affect of I MADE IT or GOAL or SCORE.
Now figure out how many days exactly that you have left hang a ribbon from your Goal board and make some kind of ribbons or tags (the same number as days that you have left)that can hang on the ribbon but be ripped off and the last one should be at the very bottom (no ribbon sticking out from under the tag).
Now here is the trick, Everyday rip off one of those ribbons and put em in a small jar or something so you can see what you have all ready accomplished. Now everyday you need to do something toward your goal---look up great sites to see on your trip via the internet or learn a new fact about one of the places you plan to see---when you do something toward your goal add a decoration to your poster board (like a picture of somewhere you just put on your itinieary)
The theory here is that not only do you see what you have accomplished but you can see your goal solidify, and don't miss a chance to work toward it..........
Good luck !!! And don't rush your childhood it goes way to fast!!

Think about the future. You have spent numerous years in school and have just a few months left. If you do not complete your schooling, you may see the time you have spent in school as wasted. Your employment options will certainly be affected by dropping out and it will appear to some that you are indecisive and prone to quitting. Sit down and write out the pros and cons of your plans. There is a lot riding on your decision.

Stay! 5 months is nothing compared to the time you'll spend later when you change your mind and go to get your GED. You're almost done with the one thing that will make the difference between a sucky job and a decent job.

Tough it out and finish. You are too close to give up now. One of my biggest regrets is not finishing high school.
