My boyfriend is quite a bit shorter then me, and when we are together I am very concious of the height difference between us.
He doesn't mind but I hate being taller than him. What do you think?

I know how you feel... It's hard to find tall men that don't suffer from the dinosaur syndrome (the longer the body, the smaller the brain). If your man is right for you, never mind the height!

I have never had that problem. I am 6 foot 1 inch tall. All the women I have dated were shorter than I am. The ones that I dated that I could actually look them in the eye without craning my neck down, I have more respect for, more comfortable with and stay around longer.
Plus the thought that they are too young comes up if they are short and that might be true if they are older or the same age.
I have a friend and his wife is an inch or more taller than him and they are getting along great. Then again, he is in his late forties and so is she. The ego part for them has long gone.
You have to see why you do mind. Don't you think?

If you hate being taller than him there must be other reasons for staying together. Weigh them up and see what is really important to you.
One of my recent girlfriends was taller than me and she thought it was better in the sack to be with a shorter guy!

I dont think it matters, cuz with my last 2 bf's (and the one i ahev now), i'm quite a bit taller than them, and they didn't care, as long as i didn't b to selfconsious about ti, i didn't care, they didn't care, and nothin mattered, but just in case i would ask him if he cares a/b it, just so that u know, oh and 1 more thing, he prolly wouldn't b going out with u if he cared that much.

It only matters if you want it to. I am only 5ft 3ins tall and i don't feel intimidated by taller women. Let's face it, we're all the same height, laying down!!!

I hope not my b/f was 6ft 4 and I am 4ft 10 - for once in my life I would love to be taller than him!!

You could
1) wear flat shoes all the time
2) make sure he stands on a step as often as possible
3) sit down a lot
4) ask yourself why it bothers you so much because if you really cared about him as a person you would not even notice it.

I know it's different but my boyfriend is 10-11 inches taller than me and I love it. I am 5'3 or 5'4 and I once dated a man who was 6'4.

i don't think height matters in a relationship.i know a pair, same like you.the girl taller than the guy.it didn't matter to them.they're happy when they're together...that's more important.

honestly..i think it really does matter..personally i wouldn't go for a guy who's like way shorter than me because i want someone who can protect me and not having me to protect him in return..it's the security issue actually but if you guys get along fine and are happy together..then i guess it's okay...
