Hi the thing is why are you trying to loose weight when you are skinny any way. It does sound like you have a problem and you may need to see a doctor before you get worse. You said you were dieting which is why you are eating an apple a day. Then you said you dont feel hungry. So if you dont feel hungry why you would you need to diet. You know yourself eating an apple a day isnt good for you. Which is why people are worried for you and are calliing you anorexic. No matter what your body needs foods to function and eating like you do will eventually make your organs shut down and you wont beable to come back from that. Also your body will reject food so no matter how much you want to eat to make yourself better you wont beable to. Your stomach will shrink to be so small. If you dont want to eat a lot of junk food and want to be healthy then why instead of having 1 apple a day have loads of fruit. Fruit wont make you put on weight neither will veg. A counsellour will help come down to what is causing you eating disorder.
I know loads of people who dont have a big appetite and they hardly eat anything, but they dont loose weight constantly. There is something wrong when you start losing weight. So please get yourself checked out.
I dont know much about you so wheather you were overweight or not, even a healthy diet would result in eating more of an apply aday.
My nana stopped eating she said she never felt like she wanted anything to eat, but last year she died and i think it was because her body was so week she couldnt fight of the infections she had. She was so thin it was unbelieveable. We only used to see her once a week and we could tell she was loosing weight but people who where with her all the time just use to let her get on with it and she ended up like she was. So i would listen to the people around you as they do love you and are looking out for you.

It is very simple. A woman needs about 2,0000 calories a day to maintain healthy body function. In that 2,000 calories should be the required vitamins and minerals to replace and repair tissue, fight disease, and for your organs carry out the various essential functions to keep you alive, also the carbohydrates to provide the energy all these processes. Your friends are absolutely right in saying your organs can be at risk, especially if you are taking things to keep your weight down.
Anorexia skews your thinking in much the same ways as addiction. My brother-in-law has diabetes, high blood pressure, liver and gall bladder problems, is massively overweight and does not get to the loo in time, all as a result of drinking up to a litre and a half of whisky a day. He insists he has no problem and feels he would be ok if everybody would stop nagging him, that they have the problem. We think he may be developing kidney problems and is certainly drinking more than the 4 cans he admits to.
Anorexia is feeding you similar false messages - that you are full, that one apple a day is sufficient to keep you going, that you need you lose weight when friends are telling you you are getting too thin (why should they lie to you?). The following link might help you calculate your ideal weight BMI - Body Mass Index: at www.cdc.gov.
Go to your doctor or talk to someone with knowledge of anorexia
Young Minds at www.youngminds.org.uk will help you.
It could be a disease problem, but the fact that you seriously believe one apple a day is sufficient for you does point to anorexia and you will need help to control it.

no one can give you a straight forward answer on here as far as if you are anorexic or not...keep in mind i have not seen you at all..but in my past experiences with eating disorders the person believes tehy dont have an eating disorder and can't see they have one but the people around them see it...i'm not saying that you have an eating disorder this is just what i know from past experience...people with eating disorders will lose their appetite and that may be why you aren't hungry...or you really might not be hungry...you do need to consume at least 2000 calories a day to stay healthy....what i would do is set up an appointment with a dietician and have them assess you..let them decide a diet plan and determine whether you are borderline eating disorder or if you even have an eating disorder...i hope this all makes sense..

So you don't think there is anything wrong with you? So you decided to diet in order to lose weight? Well you have already admitted that you don't eat anything much so there you have it. I hate to say this but all the answers lie in your question. You need attention and you probably like being told your too skinny. I bet its a great feeling for you. Grow up. You know that what your doing ain't right.
Your upsetting people that care about you.
Go see your doctor and get some help.

I would see your doctor
I lost a lot of weight too quickly and my periods stopped, I may now suffer from brittle bones later in life and you risk not being able to have children.
Anorexia is about being i control, you can't control much but yo can control your weight by not eating
If you don't eat you will just put on weight when you start eating properly again. Your metabolism will slow down and you won't use weight as quickly after a little while.
Starving yourself is not the way to lose weight. You need to eat healthily and exercise.
If you have no appetite you should force yourself to eat something

Well if you have no appetite and its not because you don t think you are fat, there must be a medical reason and you should visit a doctor to find out what it is. If you find it hard to eat meals, try to snack throughout the day, eating things you really enjoy and drink build up or protein shakes. It sounds like you do have some kind of problem though so please try and get it sorted out before it becomes addictive. Best of luck.

I have battled anorexia for 12 years and it is more a mental thought process than it is a diet. The weight loss is the outward signs of an emotional issue. Anorexics obsess over weight, they have a distorted image of theirselves (they see themselves as heavy when they are really underweight) and some workout obsessively. It is deadly, and even if you are not just eating you are causing tremendous damage to yourself. Especially your heart. Your body turns almost cannibal and starts to eat itself to sustain normal function. It first eats your muscle and guess what your heart is a muscle. You need to see a doctor, it is not normal either way, and if you want to be healthy and okay have it checked out.

if you starve your body you will get ill - it's putting your heart under pressure also.you may think you don't feel hungry but its probably a case of not wanting to eat (i know im the same!) Anorexia is a horrible thing to deal with, but it's more the mental side of it thats hard to cope with not the actual 'not eating', anyone can do that. Please go and talk to your gp it will help you,and overcome it before it becomes you! i'm thinking of you good luck
