knowing that i will probably get repercussions with my answer i will do my best. men who beat up women were probably abused when they were children which is really no excuse and just makes them cowards

While not condoning this practice...I have a feeling that women can usually get away with saying all kinds of things to people that a man could never get away with saying without getting themselves slugged for saying it.
The women who got hit simply didn't get away with it...doesn't make it RIGHT though.

It has nothing to do with the "attitude" of the female and everything to do with the lack of self control and anger management issues of the man.
