zzap2001, If you took your life as literal as you did my quote, you'd probably wanna go out and hang yourself.

As for you answerers who have a apparent disregard for all things humane, here's another quote for you:" If you consider yourself a dumb beast, you certainly can't consider me or any other man a decent human being"

The measure of a man is his integrity, honesty, good will, heart for others, the decent and loving words that come out of his mouth, decency, truth not lies, willingness to help others without being asked....how he treats his wife, children, parents, in-laws.
Material possessions are nice but not neccessary, unless you are giving them away to someone whose life would really benefit.
Good question. Thank you for asking it.
God Bless and Merry Christmas!

A man that is measured by his material possessions is a man that has been insulted and is perhaps shallow.
Integrity, honesty, caring, hard working, looking out for others, these are some of the measurements of a MAN.

A man can be measured in how he treats the elderly, the very young, his mother, his wife, and his dog. A decent man treats these as if they are the greatest treasure on earth. A smart man takes care of these because at the end of the day they are the ones who love and take care of him.

You measure him by Godliness, action. Heart. It is all that matters. On judgment day, no one will ask us, "Did you have the biggest house on your block?" because everyone will be equal then.
If you have respect for all people, and a belief in God's salvation, then you have no other need for human measurement.

It is not how I would measure a man, but how God measures a man. The world does not rotate around us, but around God as it's creator.
As far as the need for death, death comes because of sin against our creator and as long as we ignore our creator we will have death and destruction.

Clergymen are not good men, they are beggars, they don't till the soil for their keep, a lazy man is not a good man, a hateful man is not a good man, a man that is wealth with money and rich at heart is a good man. You pass your plate in hopes the people will not hold back, so you can keep more than your share, I guess you could say you are a pimp and your followers are you Bit*hes, Pimps are not good people

There are two ways, but there is only one way. One can measure with the ruler of gain or with the yardstick of wisdom.

By heart. Because:
Quoted:
" The best and the most beautiful thing in the world cannot be seen or even touch, they must be felt with heart!"
Unquoted.

I would use a tape measure, myself, not a ruler. Tape measures run longer.
