I rub underneath my ears so hard I get sores. I am unable to take benaddryl - it makes me EXTREMELY wired. I have taken claritin OTC for a long time, but it doesn't really make a difference... PLEASE HELP!!

See a ear doctor, mean while wet cotton with peroxide and place in your ears. What could be causing it, is soap left from when you shower, so make sure you clean and dry your ears after showering.

Warm oil of mink and put a couple drops in your ear. I know a guy that had itching from his hearing aid and this worked. Oil of mink is also good for skin, cuts, burns, hair, teething pains, taking hot cold sensitivity out of your teeth. Has wonderous healing properties. You can find it at healthquest.peoplesway.com

Oh my God, Go to your doctor and ask him to syringe clean your ears as they are itchie. The doctor will put water in a syringe and syringe the water into your ear (high pressure), which clears all the wax that is over produced.
This will stop the itching, maybe he will prescribe some medication.

I also have this problem, and i don't know how to fix it. But i stick my finger in my ear and go crazy. Everyone makes fun of me and tells me i look like a dog. It was really bad in the summer, and is not so bad in the winter. i didn't talk to my doctor about it though, so i'm not sure how to fix it. I hope you get the advice you need, cause i know it also drives me crazy.

You need to see the doc to find out what is causing your itching. Something is going on but the only way to find out is to see the doc and let him look inside your ears.

Try opening your mouth like your yawning and move your tongue like back in your throat and start moving it. This helps a little.
