He probably looked like any Israeli, i.e. swarthy in appearance. Portraits of Jesus are usually showing him as white with blue eyes etc. This is due to monks in the Middle Ages simply portraying him as a white European as they probably knew no better. Attempts by Africans to classify him as Negroid are probably false, but they are only doing what the Europeans did before them.
Interestingly, although people say 'who cares' or 'does it matter', it shows that race actually does play a lot in the minds of people, and although you will have Oriental Christians they do not appear to be as obsessed as Blacks or Whites, most races appear uncomfortable at accepting what is classed as a 'superior' person when that person is of a different race

After the events surrounding Jesus' death, Mary Magdelaine left Judea for Egypt where she travelled North to Southern France.
While she was in Egypt she gave birth to a daughter, Sarah.
Where she and Sarah reached the French coast there is now a shrine with a statue of Sarah called Saint Sarah of Egypt, the shrine however is early Christian and is the object of pilgrimage for many in the area. Sarah is Black......!!!
Make the connection....Mary Magdelaine was pregnant at the time she was supposed to be Jesus' 'companion', this is how she is described in the bible, in those times 'companion' meant spouse. the obvious conclusion is Jesus was black.
This is Not conjecture, these are facts drawn from history and the bible.....
Saint Sarah has since been decanonised....want a picture...still don't believe me?

Jesus was a black man just like all of the other people living in the Middle East then. The Church had been lying about this throughout its exsistence.

Yes seeing as he was born physically of middle eastern mother he must have had the dark skin of the region. Especially as no mention was made in any works that Jesus was of an unusual colour for the region, and that for thirty years he was considered "Average" we can assume that he had a skin colour indigenous to the region of his birth.

He was darker than what most English speakers would consider "white".
The icons preserve the traditional view of the Church on Jesus Christ's appearance as a human being.

Middle eastern appearance. To put a color on Him would be racist. There are skin tones of various degrees all over and this area is no different. He was the same tine as any middle eastern person might be. He was a carpenter in His fathers shop so He was probably rugged. He was of normal stature and appearance as Judas had to point him out in a crowd. He chased, by himself, the money changers (we would call them carnival or street merchants) from the temple and no one dared stopped him. And His cross was no higher than the other two. Yeah He was your average looking middle eastern person.

There is a part in the bible i think in the old testament that says that he was white... or at least that is what i think, you must also keep in mind that he might not even look the way we all imagine him as, because he was a drawing by Leonardo DaVinci, and because he was so famous alot of people decided that that was the way Jesus looked like. For all we know he could have been blonde, black haired, or whatever. So as far as we know he could have looked like a African American, English, Japanese, Hispanic.... That is my opinion on things so Jesus just being white may not be correct.

Jesus was the same colour as the Jews in Israel.
Think of something more intellectual than this.
