Will be flying into Rio on 30 December, and flying out of Buenos Aires. Really not too sure of a suggested plan, please can anyone help.

1. Ideas in mind were to go through Brazil, Uruguay, and then Argentina or
2. Brazil, Peru, Bolivia then Argentina.

Ideally would like to try and make it to the Amazon rainforest if possible, but do understand the area is huge!!.

Also travelling on a budget, so ideally would like to try and avoid internal flights.

Thanks

The Amazon is huge. Try to hit Recifes in Brazil. Amazonian Estuary. Also try for Iguassu (sorry for the spelling) Falls at the Brazil, Paraguay and Argentine border area.
I would also recommend Uruguay for variety in flora and fauna. Minas Gerais has mineral wealth. Cabo Polonio has natural coastal settings and animals. La Paloma, coastal city just east of Rocha, has modern amenities and natural,or historical wonders. Uruguay also offers the ultra modern Punta Del Este. You can also experience gaucho life or tour western Uruguay and its cities of Salto, Paysandu and Colonia for rich historical sites outside of Montevideo.
It doesn't have Machu Pichu, Tierra Del Fuego or Val Paraiso, but in a somewhat smaller area you can have beaches, pampas, mining, big cities, little towns, sand dunes, marshes, modern, historical and really friendly people.

Buenos Aires is an incredible city; it's an surprising metropolis that seems somewhat like Europe, but by having an edgy Latin American perspective and if you wish to visit that city then have a look with hotelbye . El Puerto Madero is really a place effectively visited. It offered as the main dock of Buenos Aires during the late 19th century but know is turned into buildings that might be applied as residences, restaurants, stores and different organizations and to offer that challenge a little bit of style, all streets in the region were called following women. Strolling through the Puerto Madero is a good way to invest a pleasant afternoon just like visiting El Obelisco. El Obelisco was integrated 1936 to remember the 400th anniversary of the city founding and now's a must-see place from Buenos Aires.

Definitelly......Uruguay is the best option, bcoz of the weather, in january it is very nice place.....You can reach Uruguay coming from Brazil and enjoy the brazilian coast and the beaches there as Florianópolis..Going to the south, u will find Laguna Merim.....and in uruguayan territory........La Paloma......Punta del Diablo ( a little wonderful town of fishermen) that is visited for many pple in summer....Cabo Polonio ...Piriapólis.and Punta del Este. Punta, has a very attractive night life, and is absolutelly cosmopolitan. It is 120 kms from the capital city, Montevideo.
Also have to the west, Colonia.......with the "old city" from portuguese colonization times. In north......Paysandú and Salto......with the thermal baths..
About the other countries.............it's real that are very beautiful ones......Perú with Machu Pichu............Ecuador with Galápagos... Paraguay with the Iguazú falls........Argentine with Buenos Aires( a bit hot in summer bcoz the humidity)..anyways.....all South America is wonderful....
Be sure, that in the place you decide to visit .........you'll be welcome. Pple is amazing and very friendly.
Enjoy it......

Merry Christmas!!!!!!

Don't forget to check out ECUADOR. Also, the Isla Galapagos once you are in Ecuador. Weather is beautiful, people are welcoming, and the natural scenery will bring you back always.
