I want to replace my fox racing float rear shox with fox racing dhx air rear shox and my bike is a specialized stumpjumper fsr xc .may i able to do it?

Probably not. Which year is your Stumpjumper? After 2004 Specialized started with the frames which wouldn't let the piggyback stuff fit. Also, you'd have to find a shock that have the same eye-to-eye (i2i) distance, and strock lenght.

If you want to improve your shock, maybe try sending it to Push Industries (http://www.pushindustries.com/).

possibly. you have to replace it with a shock with the same eye-to-eye length. DHXs have the piggybacks also, so check to see if you have room for that. i dont think the newer models have much room to spare.

whats the difference you ask? the float is a nice racing air shock, but the DHX air is made for doing downhill with less weight than the standard coil over. the DHX has more adjustability. the Stumpjumber is mainly a XC bike, so i say you leave it alone, OR upgrade to a Talas. those things are sick. if you have the bank for a DHX, then you should be able to afford a talas.
