This does not sound good . The first thing that comes to mind is a blood sugar problem. When the blood sugar drops severely, the individual gets drowsy and starts a cold sweat. She should be checked out as soon as possible. You can make sure she makes an appointment. In the mean time, if this happens, make her drink some orange juice. That will bring her blood sugar content up quickly. If you don't have OJ, other juices work as well.

Is she in her late 40s - 50's? Maybe she's starting to go through the menopause? This can do these things to you. She really needs to get herself checked out by the doctor if she's like this. There could be any number of things wrong.

She could be going through the change. Does she get emotional for no reason as well as this can be another sympton? You can buy home test kits from the chemist I think they're about a tenner. Be nice to her sounds like she needs it.

It depends on her age she could be going through menopause. Hormone therapy can cause it as well, depending on the hormones she's prescribed. Has she been tested for diabetes, high blood pressure?

Could be the menopause, if she's that age. Also could be her thyroid gland. She should get checked up by a doctor and get appropriate treatment.

The most likely fitting to the symptoms you name is diabetes. She should be checked for that immediately. It is simply blood work so it's not expensive.
