Nowadays we can do anything with hair. The best way to straighten hair (temporarily) is with a good ceramic flat iron. The best and easiest one to use is the Maxi Glide. It has pins right on the iron like a brush so it will gently pull the hair straight, while it has a steam burst that smooths the hair at the same time. Today's ceramic irons get hot enough as well, and the hair will remain straight under more conditions (humidity) than previous irons. Make sure you use a good silicone product like citre shine spray polisher on the hair before you straighten. Of course as soon as you wet your hair, it will return to it's natural state. You can get the maxi glide at amazon.com.

Look, if there was a better way I'd tell you but from my knowings it would have to be naturaly straight. But, be proud of your long brown naturally curly hair. Some day if you are sure you want it straight, you are going to need to straighten it with a straightener.

As long as you don't use the flat iron every day and use heat protectant, using a flat iron, a good one, wont ruin your hair. Plus gets trims every 6-8 weeks. That is what I am doing and its going fine. Leave your hair straight after using a iron for about 3-4 days, shower using a shower cap to keep hair dry) so you dont have to straighten so much.
Or try buying a sleek & straight shampoo & conditioner and a staightening balm.

Unfortunally, I dont think you will be able to get pin straight hair without using a straightner. I have found that there is this Loreal Hair Straightening Cream at Wal-Mart that works wonderful for about 6 bucks. It protects your hair from heat damage wether it's from straightening your hair or blow drying it. It also helps it go very straight.

I think the only way to get straight hair is to use straighteners. remember they wont mess your hair up if you know how to use em properly. start by useing a heat spray to stop the straighteners from burning your hair up and a good oil treatmant once a week will help. try V05 hot oils there really easy to use and they will help your hair big time if your going to use straighteners

Purchase a straightening lotion. IT'S NOT A PERM. It temporarily straightens your hair(for about a week).
